ADGP Jammu Reviews Security and Law & Order Situation of District Reasi: Inaugurates Police Station Ransoo

      Jammu March 9, 2024: Additional Director General of Police , (ADGP) Jammu Zone Sh. Anand Jain,IPS recently conducted a comprehensive review of the #security / law and order situation in the district. The inspection aimed to bolster security measures and streamline emergency preparedness protocols.

ADGP Jammu Zone Shri. Anand Jain, IPS was accompanied by DIG Udhmpur-Reasi Range Sh. Rayees Mohammad Bhat-IPS and was received by SSP Reasi Ms Mohita Sharma-IPS and her team of officers.

2. During the assessment, special attention was given to the security arrangements surrounding the annual pilgrimage to the revered Shivkhohri Shrine, a significant religious event that draws pilgrims from far and wide.
3. The security drill of the shrine and preparedness of law enforcement agencies to manage the influx of devotees and maintain order along the yatra route was discussed.
4. Directions were passed to carryout thorough checking of all the suspected people, so that no unwanted elements is allowed to indulge in any kind of criminal activities or any action which may prove prejudicial to the security of the area, besides this joint long range patrols of JKP/CRPF have also been launched round the clock in the entire area of Ransoo and its surrounding areas.It was directed to conduct joint security drill with CAPF for security of the shrine and mentioned it as top priority of police of this jurisdiction. He stressed upon frequent verification & census of migrants in and around Reasi town , besides Character antecedents Pony porters and other people entering the town should also be checked on priority required to segregate the suspicious elements.
5. The inauguration of the newly constructed Police Station Ransoo was also done. This modern facility is strategically located to enhance police presence and response capabilities in the area. The inauguration marks a significant milestone in the on-going efforts to strengthen law enforcement infrastructure and ensure prompt assistance to the locals. ADGP Jammu also visited the Police Station Pouni , check the records of Police station and brief all jawans for dedicated and devoted duty.While en-route ADGP Jammu also visited PP Bhambla , PS Pouni and PS Reasi alongwith DIG UR Range and SSP Reasi.On spot directions were imparted to All SHOs and police officials regarding speedy disposal of crime , good public relation, maintaining proper record, CCTN working and keep an eye on the ANEs.
