Retired Teacher Tilak Sharma, everyone knows about becoming the Prime Minister by selling tea, but now after doing the job of a teacher, definitely read the story of a teacher who was forced to sell tea. Tilak Sharma, who retired as a JBT teacher from Shahpur in district Kangra, is forced to sell tea, pakodas and jalebis these days. He has a tea stall at Shahpur Bus Stand. Tilak Sharma, who was appointed on contract in 1997, was appointed in a school under the Rat education section. Tilak Sharma retired in 2014 after serving in the Education Department for 17 years. Being an NPS ie New Pension Scheme employee, he was offered a pension of one thousand rupees on his own 40 percent paise. Which Tilak Sharma rejected, even today that money is with NSDL
Tilak Sharma told that if he was under the old pension scheme, then today he should have got at least 25000 rupees pension. But NPS has spoiled his old age. In Tilak Sharma fairs, stalls of jalebi and pakodas are also being set up today at the age of 65.
Rajinder Manhas, Kangra district head of New Pension Scheme Employees Association said that seeing a former MLA selling bangles in the fair, former Himachal Chief Minister Yashwant Singh Parmar had started pension to former MLAs, which has reached above 90 thousand today. But the pension received by the retired employee is less than the old age pension. The district head said that this NPS has spoiled the old age of the future builder of the country. He said that justice can be done to Tilak Sharma, who sold Jalebi in the fair only when the government restores the old pension.
