Anti-Drug Foot March Held in Bari Brahmana
Bari Brahmana, April 16:
In a powerful display of public outcry against the growing menace of drug abuse and smuggling in Jammu and Kashmir, a foot march rally was organized today in Bari Brahmana. The rally, led by Sh. Yashpal Singh @ Panchu, Ex-Sarpanch of Jallo Chak, and Sh. Sanjay Singh Jamwal, District President of Yuva Rajput Sabha, drew a crowd of approximately 150-170 participants.
The protestors, carrying placards and chanting slogans, marched from Purmandal Morh Bridge, through SIDCO Chowk, and concluded the rally near Bari Brahmana Chowk at around 12:15 PM. The slogans raised included strong messages such as “LG Sahib Hosh Mein Aao,” “Chitte Ko Bhagna Hai, Yuva Ko Bachana Hai,” “Police Ko Khuli Shoot Do,” and “Chitte Ke Samarthako Pe PSA Lagao.”
The demonstrators voiced deep concern over the increasing loss of young lives due to drug abuse and demanded stringent measures against drug traffickers and their supporters. The peaceful march highlighted the community’s growing frustration and urgency for immediate and effective government intervention.
Local authorities were present to maintain order, and the rally concluded without any reported incidents.
