Assembly Elections-2024: Allotment of Election Symbols for 70-Samba Assembly Constituency finalized

SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 17: In preparation for the upcoming elections, the Returning Officer for the 70-Samba Assembly Constituency, Kusum Chib, today finalized the allotment of election symbols to the candidates.The event took place in the meeting hall of district Administrative Complex, Nandani Hills, in the presence of C.G. Rajini Kaanthan, General Observer for the Assembly Constituencies 70-Samba and 71-Vijaypur.A total of 14 candidates, representing different political parties, were issued their respective election symbols. The allotment process, a critical step in the democratic process, ensures that each candidate is provided with a distinct symbol that will appear on ballot papers and voting machines, enabling voters to easily identify their preferred candidates in the election.The Returning Officer reiterated the importance of this transparent and impartial process, which ensures fairness in the electoral contest.The allotment of symbols was carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India (ECI) and under the supervision of the General Observer to guarantee a smooth and unbiased procedure.General Observer C.G. Rajini Kaanthan addressed the candidates, urging them to strictly adhere to the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) established by the ECI. He emphasized the significance of conducting free, fair, and transparent elections, which are essential for maintaining the integrity of democracy.Kaanthan reminded all parties that following the MCC guidelines is crucial for ensuring a peaceful and orderly electoral process, promoting a fair environment for all participants.
