Baba Chamliyal Mela Celebrated with Religious Fervor
The annual Baba Chamliyal Mela was celebrated with great religious zeal today at the International Border in the Ramgarh Sector of district Samba. The event saw thousands of devotees, both from within the state and beyond, gather to seek the blessings of Baba Chamliyal, also known as Dalip Singh Manhas.
The festivities began early in the morning, with devotees arriving at the shrine to pay their respects and receive blessings. The fair, held near the International Border in the village of Chamliyal, has long been a significant religious and cultural event in the region.
In anticipation of the large turnout, the district administration, under the supervision of DC Samba, Abhishek Sharma, made extensive preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the mela. Arrangements included enhanced medical facilities, traffic regulation, drinking water provisions, additional bus services, and robust security measures to manage the heavy influx of devotees.
The Baba Chamliyal Mela not only reflects the deep-rooted religious traditions of the area but also stands as a symbol of communal harmony and cultural heritage. The district administration’s meticulous planning and the unwavering devotion of the attendees contributed to the mela’s resounding success.
