BAISAKHI BLISS BASH AT MVIS
MV International School organised a special celebration of Baisakhi festival with great delight and zeal. It was organised with a motive to educate students about the significance of this spring harvest festival. Myriad presentations of cultural, religious, social & spiritual significance were displayed by the students and staff of the school in presence of School Chairman Hira Lal Abrol; Vice Chairperson Savita Abrol & Director Gourav Abrol. Special guests of the event were – Harpal Singh & Gurmeet Singh from Gurudwara Singh Sabha Vijaypur; Gurmeet Singh (Pradhan) & Gurmeet Singh from Gurudwara Koulpur; Mohinder Singh & Harvinder Singh from Gurudwara Raika Labanah.
Students from class UKG welcomed the guests by presenting roses. The program started with a melodious welcome song presentation by students from the Music Studio of the school. Principal Kundan Lal Dogra extended the welcome address and apprised the guests about the program. The guests, Harpal Singh and Gurmeet Singh addressed the students and shared the importance of this festival along with its rich tradition. Later Harvinder Singh, a Punjabi scholar shared the learnings from the festival as hard work and patience that bears golden fruits in the harvest. He discussed about the formation of Khalsa Panth in the year 1699 and the way forward. Students from the Dance Studio of the school presented a thrilling performance to mark the occasion. The guests were taken through an exhibition of Punjabi culture that was put to display by the students. Overall, a strong message of peace, harmony and secularism was conveyed to the gathering. The programme culminated with dance performance by the students, staff and the guests to the tunes of the live goal that was put up by the music studio of the school.
