Ban on gathering and walking of more than 5 people together

With the aim of conducting the elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner, using the powers conferred under Section 144, there will be a ban on gathering and walking of more than 5 people together within a radius of 100 meters of the polling station in all the districts, except the personnel standing in line for voting and those deployed in law and order. Except the security personnel deployed on election duty, other persons will also be banned from carrying firearms, lethal weapons, banners, sticks within a radius of 100 meters of the polling station. Apart from this, apart from door-to-door campaigning, there will also be a complete ban on election campaigning during this period. This ban will be in force from 6 pm on May 30 till the end of voting on June 1.
