BJP-TDP Negotiations Conclude: Andhra Pradesh to Receive Special Financial Package, Cabinet Allocations Finalized
After intense negotiations, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) have reached a conclusive agreement, outlining significant developments for both Andhra Pradesh and the central government. Under the finalized terms, the TDP is set to secure one cabinet position and two Ministers of State (MoS) at the central level, while Andhra Pradesh will benefit from a special financial package sanctioned by the Central Government.
In reciprocation, the BJP will obtain two ministerial positions within the Andhra Pradesh state government, marking a significant step in their collaboration. So far as JD (U) is concerned, the Janata Dal United (JDU) has expressed its interest in securing the Speaker’s post within the BJP-led government, highlighting its importance as one of the most influential positions in Indian politics, with considerable autonomy in decision-making.
Furthermore, Chirag Paswan, leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), has reiterated his unwavering support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that his sole aspiration is to see Modi continue as the Prime Minister of India. This declaration comes amidst a backdrop of strong alliances forming in support of PM Modi, with both Chirag Paswan and Nitish Kumar pledging their support to the Prime Minister unconditionally.
