BJP’s Manifesto for Jammu and Kashmir: Focus on Employment, Women’s Empowerment, Security, and Infrastructure

Ahead of the upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP has released its manifesto, which prioritizes employment, women’s empowerment, security, and the development of world-class infrastructure in the region.

Development of World-Class Infrastructure

The BJP has pledged to strengthen infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir by completing all key tunnel projects. Under this plan, 10,000 km of new rural roads will be constructed, and metro services in Jammu and Srinagar will be launched soon.

Employment Opportunities for Youth

The BJP has promised to create 5 lakh employment opportunities for the youth, while also ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.

Ma Samman Yojana and Ujjwala Beneficiaries

To empower women, the BJP will launch the Ma Samman Yojana, under which the senior-most woman in each household will receive ₹18,000 annually. In addition, Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries will receive two free gas cylinders each year.

Housing and Pension Schemes

Under the Atal Awas Yojana, land will be provided free of cost to the landless. The pensions for old age, widowhood, and disability will also be tripled.

Solutions for Ad-hoc and Daily Wage Workers

The BJP has promised to address the issues faced by ad-hoc and contract employees. Additionally, extra support will be given to resolve grievances from key community workers.

Eradicating Terrorism and Separatism

The BJP is committed to completely eradicating terrorism and separatism in Jammu and Kashmir. A white paper will be published to ensure justice for all victims of terrorism, and fast-track courts will be set up to expedite legal cases. BJP will take J&K from Terrorist hotspot to Tourist Hotspot

Reconstruction of Religious Sites

The manifesto also promises the reconstruction and restoration of Hindu temples and other religious sites in the region.

Building a Strong Economy

To boost the economy, the BJP plans to address the issues faced by MSME units by formulating a new policy. The regularization of lease deeds for small traders and shopkeepers will be given priority.

Education and Healthcare

Students in remote areas will be provided with tablets and laptops. College students will receive an annual travel allowance, and 1,000 new seats will be added to medical colleges. Under the Ayushman Bharat Sehat scheme, an additional ₹2 lakh coverage will be provided, over and above the existing ₹5 lakh coverage.

Through this manifesto, the BJP aims to focus on development, employment, and security in Jammu and Kashmir as it prepares for the upcoming elections.
