Border Area Youth Exchange Program organised by NYK MY Bharat kicks off at Jammu
JAMMU : The Border Area Youth Exchange Program today was inaugurated at Kalika Dham Jammu by Chief Guest Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister Health and Medical Education J&K in present of Shri Nisar Ahmed Butt State Director NYKS J&K Ladakh, Nitin DYO and Ms Preeti Sharma from Officer’s IAS Academy.
A total of 25 youth participants 5 each from 5 States/UTs viz Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are visiting Jammu under 5 days Border Area Youth Exchange Program organised by NYKS-MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India. The 5 day Youth Exchange Program aimed to generate awareness about Border Areas to the youth of Non Border Areas shall conclude on 20th of January.
While speaking on the inauguration session, the Chief Guest welcomed all participants and assured them that the Youth Exchange Program shall be memorable for them. He further explained that the Government is working tirelessly for development and prosperity of the Nation. He highlighted that the MY Bharat initiative of the government has been launched with this aim.
Nisar Ahmed Butt State Director NYKS J&K Ladakh while speaking on the occasion, informed the participants that best facilities have been provided to the participants to make the program memorable. He further said that the youth participants will not only about border areas of J&K but also about the culture of other participating States/UTs.
Nitin Hangloo District Youth Officer Jammu while presenting the welcome address apprised the youth participants of the daily schedule and activities planned to keep the program interesting and interactive. He informed that various awareness sessions have been planned to keep the participants informed regarding the current policies and programs of the Govt. He further said that visits have been planned to border areas and places of tourism importance. He further informed that the participants have been provided merchandise and IEC material. He further said that yoga sessions have also been planned in the morning.
The program was held in an interactive manner wherein the participants shared their expectations and informed about the culture, language and details of their own State/UT.
Sushil Singh Charak Founder cum Chief Functionary of Nations Development Association (NGO) was also present during the event. The program was managed well by Volunteers Rahul and Rakshant under the guidance of Anmol Bajaj APA NYK Jammu.
