On Sunday evening, terrorists launched a brutal attack near an under-construction tunnel in the Sonamarg area of Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir, killing six migrant workers and a doctor. The attack occurred at a construction site in Gagangir. Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and initiated search operations to neutralize the attackers.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack, expressing condolences to the victims’ families and highlighting the tragedy of targeting laborers working on key infrastructure projects.
