Breaking: Train Accident Averted in Uttar Pradesh as Naini Jan Shatabdi Train Encounters Obstruction on Tracks

Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh: A major accident was averted when an alert loco pilot of the Naini Jan Shatabdi train applied emergency brakes after spotting an old electric pole on the tracks. The incident occurred at around 10:18 pm on Tuesday, approximately 1.5-2 km ahead of Rudrapur City Station, while the train was en route from Rampur to Rudrapur.

SP Railway Ashutosh Shukla stated, “The GRP Rampur received a memo from the RPF that the train had encountered an electric pole obstructing the tracks. The loco pilot’s quick action ensured the train stopped in time, preventing a potential mishap.”

The pole was removed by authorities after the train halted, and the area was thoroughly examined by GRP, RPF, and district police. It was discovered that the pole had been hidden in nearby bushes and then dragged onto the tracks.

A case has been registered at Rampur Police Station, and investigations are underway to determine the culprits behind the dangerous act. Security measures are being enhanced in the region to prevent similar incidents.
