BSF Organizes Weapon Training Program for Village Defense Committees in Arnia Sector to Enhance Border Security

To instill a sense of security among villagers along the international border in the Arnia sector, the Border Security Force (BSF) conducted a specialized training program for members of the Village Defense Guards (VDGs). The initiative focused on equipping local residents with essential skills to contribute to border security. Key components of the training included:
- Firearms Training: Instruction on operating Self-Loading Rifles (SLR), including aiming techniques and weapon maintenance.
- Situational Awareness: Training to identify potential threats and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Countering Security Threats: Strategies to address risks such as infiltration, smuggling, or terrorist activities in border areas.
Conducted by BSF personnel and officers, the program aims to empower the local community and strengthen the security framework along the border. Following Operation Sindhur, VDG members have actively collaborated with the BSF, Army, and police in surveillance and security duties. This training enhances villagers’ proficiency in handling firearms, improves their marksmanship, and bolsters their ability to dominate and secure the border region.
