Central Railway achieved scrap sales of Rs. 132.47 Crores in the current financial year
In a significant achievement, Central Railway has achieved scrap sales of Rs. 132.47 Crores in the current financial year. It took significant steps to identify and dispose off various types of scrap, including overaged Locos, Diesel Surplus Locos, un-operational rail lines and overaged or accidental locos/coaches, giving priority to this task. This determined effort has yielded impressive results, with Central Railway achieving scrap sales of Rs. 132.47 Crores in the current financial year from 01/04/2023 to 15/08/2023 marking a remarkable increase of 20.41% compared to Railway Board’s pro-rata target till August 2023.
