Congress Leader Pawan Khera Criticizes RSS in Response to Rahul Gandhi’s Remarks

In a sharp reaction to the ongoing controversy over Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress leader Pawan Khera has made strong statements against the RSS.

During a media interaction, Khera remarked, “Why would anyone who is intelligent waste their time in understanding RSS? What is there to understand? Look at their 100-year history, it is hollow.”Khera further accused the RSS of working against national interests, claiming, “They have worked against the country, hatched conspiracies, and colluded with the British.”

He criticized the organization for its lack of transparency, pointing out that the RSS does not publicly register its members or disclose its financial accounts. Khera also targeted the RSS for positioning itself as the “self-appointed ‘thekedar'” (custodian) of the nation, religion, and culture, expressing concerns that such claims pose a threat to India’s diverse heritage.

This remark from Khera adds to the ongoing political friction between Congress and BJP, particularly in light of Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments on RSS & BJP from abroad, which have sparked reactions from BJP leaders defending the RSS. BJP always accuse Rahul Gandhi & Congress to for defiling the image of the country outside India. The war of words continues to shape the prelude to the upcoming elections, as both parties vie for public support.
