DC Kishtwar Reviews Power Scenario in District in Meeting with JPDCL Officials
Kishtwar, December 6: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kishtwar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan (JKAS), chaired a high-level meeting with the officials of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) to assess and review the current power supply situation in the district.
During the meeting, the DC discussed key issues affecting the power infrastructure, including load management, the maintenance of power lines, and the progress of ongoing projects aimed at upgrading the power supply network. He emphasized the need to ensure uninterrupted electricity, particularly during the winter months when demand peaks.
The JPDCL officials briefed the DC about the challenges faced by the department, including infrastructure constraints, technical glitches, and resource limitations. Strategies to address these challenges were deliberated, with a focus on reducing power outages and enhancing service reliability.
Sh. Shavan directed the department to expedite pending projects and take proactive measures to resolve consumer grievances promptly. He also urged the officials to conduct awareness campaigns to promote energy conservation among residents.
The DC assured full support from the district administration to bolster the power infrastructure and stressed the importance of coordination between JPDCL and other departments to achieve efficient outcomes.
