Develop Baba Sidh Goria And Chamliyal Shrines under Religious tourism : Dr Manyal

JAMMU : In today’s session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh, raised several key issues aimed at addressing the region’s challenges and promoting development. He proposed the creation of a new committee for the regularization of employees under National Health Mission (NHM), ensuring better job security and working conditions. Dr. Manyal also emphasized the importance of supporting the growth of local media, suggesting that the government facilitate the registration of media persons and encourage the establishment of local newspapers and media houses, thus providing employment opportunities for youth. Additionally, he called for the restoration of reservation in promotion for government employees to ensure fairness and equal career advancement opportunities. Dr. Manyal further advocated for the establishment of a separate chemical engineering wing to strengthen technical education and help the graduate chemical engineers so that they get absorbed in Govt deptts and Local industrial units as specialists . Lastly, he highlighted the development potential of the Baba Sidh Goria shrine at Swankha and the Chamliyal Shrine, proposing them as key religious and border tourism sites that would not only attract tourists but also promote the region’s cultural heritage.
