Dhoni’s former business partners filed Defamation Case against him

The dispute between former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his two former business partners is becoming increasingly complicated. Earlier, a case of loss of Rs 15 crore was filed on behalf of Dhoni against his business partners.

After this, former partners have also filed a case against Dhoni. Now Delhi High Court has asked the registry to email Dhoni for information of this defamation case against him.

Dhoni’s former business partner Mihir Diwakar and his wife Soumya Das had filed a defamation case against Dhoni in the Delhi High Court. Diwakar and Das have sought a direction to restrain Dhoni and people acting on his behalf from making defamatory allegations against them in connection with the alleged breach of the 2017 contract.

Earlier, Dhoni had accused his two old business partners of fraud. Dhoni had written in the complaint that he was supposed to get the contract to open a cricket academy, but it was not given to him and his Rs 15 crore was grabbed. The allegation said that even after the rights were canceled by MS Dhoni on August 15, 2021, Mihir Diwakar opened several cricket academies in India and abroad using the name of the former India captain. He also took money from franchises for MS Dhoni Cricket Academy and MS Dhoni Sports Academy. Dhoni’s former business partner misused his name. Cheated them.
