DIG JKS Range Reviews Security Preparedness in Samba and Kathua
Samba/Kathua, October 26, 2024 – The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Range conducted a comprehensive security review of Samba and Kathua districts to assess the readiness of security forces in the region.
During the visit, the DIG held meetings with key officials, including Special Operations Group (SOG) components, Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), and Station House Officers (SHOs). The interactions focused on evaluating the preparedness for anti-terrorist operations, enhancing coordination among various units, and addressing operational challenges.
The DIG also inspected the deployment of forces and reviewed contingency plans to counter potential threats. He emphasized the importance of maintaining high alertness and operational efficiency, especially in areas vulnerable to cross-border infiltration.
