District Administration Organizes Pledge Taking Ceremony and Rally under Swachhta Pakhwada
As part of the series of events under “Swachhta Pakhwada,” a Swachhta pledge was taken by district officers, officials, students, NSS Volunteers, and staff members at the Conference Hall Samba.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, Abhishek Sharma, addressed the participants, emphasizing that the aim of Swachhta Pakhwada is to inculcate civic sense and a sense of belonging among the citizens. He highlighted that there should be no caste and religious divisions and stressed the need to abolish subjugation. “Apart from geographical sanitation, we need to clear our minds and vision for the betterment of our society and country. We must act as responsible citizens and abide by our fundamental duties,” he stated.
He also directed the officers to visit the families of martyrs during the plantation drive, “Ek Ped Maa K Naam, Ek Ped Shahidoon K Naam.”
Following the pledge-taking ceremony, a cleanliness drive was organized in and around all the blocks of Government offices.
Simultaneously, the pledge was taken in all offices at the tehsil and block levels. This campaign shall continue until the 15th of August.
The event saw the participation of all district officers, sectoral officers, students, and NGOs.
