Div Com Jammu visits Samba, inspects drive for 2nd Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll Jammu

August 04:Divisional Commissioner Jammu (Roll observer) Ramesh Kumar, today visited district Samba to review the ongoing exercise of the special summary revision of photo electoral roll.The Divisional Commissioner inspected the exercise of the revision of the Electoral roll at GHSS Vijaypur and later chaired a meeting with Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) at the DC Office.During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba, Abhishek Sharma, provided a detailed overview of the electoral process and Special Summary Revision activities undergoing in the district.The Divisional Commissioner emphasized the need to expedite the revision process, ensuring thorough inquiries before addition and deletion of voters, reviewing polling station facilities, and conducting assembly-level training with efficient and trained master trainers to ensure smooth upcoming elections. He also stressed the importance of conducting special camps for the updating of voter lists.Furthermore, the Divisional Commissioner inquired and addressed the challenges faced by the officers and encouraged them to work with zeal and dedication.The meeting was attended by DC Samba Abhishek Sharma, ADC Samba Suresh Sharma, ACR Kusum Chib, SDM Ghagwal Sunaina Saini, SDM Vijaypur Umesh Sharma, Deputy DEO Harvinder Singh, DIO Ashiq Rafiq Malik and Tehsildars.
