Samba, May 13: Panic gripped a village in Samba district last night when drone splinters intercepted by the Indian Air Defence System struck the house of Vakil Singh during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public address in the region.

According to family members, the roof of the house was damaged by the impact, causing pieces of the concrete slab (lanter) to fall directly into the kitchen where two women were working. The debris struck them on the head, rendering both unconscious.

They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Witnesses reported that metal splinters were found scattered across the kitchen, including on cooking utensils.

Local authorities have been informed, and new act of Ceasefire violation has raised fresh concerns although army authorities in statement on social media x said that this was a low intensity drone attack and everything is normal.
