DRUG PEDDLER NABBED WITH 9 GRAMS HEROIN LIKE SUBSTANCE BY POLICE
Samba, June 29: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Police has arrested one drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered 09 grams approximately heroin like substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Station Bari Brahmana during vehicle checking naka established near Vijay Steel Factory Bari Brahmana, intercepted a swift car bearing registration No. PB01B/1176 moving from Kala Gate towards SIDCO Chowk side for its checking. During checking, 09 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of the said person.
The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Ajaz Ahmed Sheikh S/o Abdul Rashid Sheikh R/o Chattabal Srinagar.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 78/2024 U/S 8/21/22/25/ NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana.
Further investigation including investigation in backward linkages of the case is going on.
