An ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Juthana area of Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, has resulted in injuries to two policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP). The gunfight commenced on the morning of March 27, 2025, following a cordon and search operation initiated based on specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area.

This operation is part of a larger anti-terrorist initiative that has been active in the region for the past four days. The current engagement is believed to involve the same group of terrorists who managed to escape after an earlier encounter in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua on Sunday evening.

Additional reinforcements have been deployed to the area, and the security forces are intensifying efforts to neutralize the terrorists. The situation remains dynamic, and further updates are awaited as the operation continues.
