Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Exam (MCSCCE) is conducted by the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) to recruit candidates for various posts in the civil services of Manipur. Exam Pattern:

The MCSCCE exam is conducted in three stages:

  1. Preliminary exam (Objective type)
  2. Main exam (Descriptive type)
  3. Interview

Preliminary Exam:

  • The exam consists of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II.
  • Both papers are objective type with multiple choice questions (MCQs).
  • Each paper is of 200 marks and the duration of each paper is two hours.
  • Paper-I covers General Studies and Paper-II covers Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).

Main Exam:

  • The main exam consists of six papers.
  • The papers are descriptive type and the duration of each paper is three hours.
  • The papers are as follows: English, Essay, General Studies-I, General Studies-II, Optional Paper-I, and Optional Paper-II.
  • The Optional Papers are chosen by the candidate from the list of subjects provided by the MPSC.

Interview:

  • The candidates who clear the main exam are called for an interview.
  • The interview is conducted for 200 marks.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • The age limit for general category candidates is 21-38 years. Age relaxation is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories.
