Exam Pattern Salary Eligibility Syllabus and Selection Process of Rajasthan Civil Services Combined Competitive Exam
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) conducts the Rajasthan Civil Services Combined Competitive Exam (RAS) to recruit candidates for various administrative and civil services posts in the state of Rajasthan.
Exam Pattern: The RAS exam is conducted in three stages:
- Preliminary Exam (Objective Type)
- Main Exam (Subjective Type)
- Personality and Viva-Voce Test
Preliminary Exam: The preliminary exam is an objective type exam consisting of two papers of 200 marks each. The duration of each paper is 3 hours. The questions are of multiple-choice type and are in English and Hindi.
Paper 1: General Knowledge and General Science Paper 2: General Knowledge of Rajasthan
Main Exam: The main exam consists of four papers of 200 marks each. The duration of each paper is 3 hours. The papers are descriptive type and are in English and Hindi.
Paper 1: General Studies-I Paper 2: General Studies-II Paper 3: General Studies-III Paper 4: General Hindi and General English
Personality and Viva-Voce Test: Candidates who qualify for the main exam are called for the personality and viva-voce test. This test is conducted for a total of 100 marks.
Salary: The salary for various administrative and civil services posts in Rajasthan varies based on the post and the pay scale.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the RAS exam, a candidate must:
- be a citizen of India
- have attained the age of 21 years and must not have exceeded the age of 40 years on January 1 of the year of examination
- have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- meet the physical and medical standards specified by the commission
Syllabus: The syllabus for the RAS exam includes topics related to general knowledge, general science, general studies, general Hindi, and general English.
Selection Process: The selection process for the RAS exam includes the preliminary exam, main exam, and personality and viva-voce test.
