Forest Fire Triggers Landmine Blasts Along LoC in Poonch: No Casualties Reported
Mendhar/Jammu, May 23, 2025: A forest fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district triggered multiple landmine explosions in the Krishna Ghati sector on Friday, according to official sources. No loss of life or injuries were reported. The fire, which erupted near the LoC, rapidly spread across a large mountainous area, causing several landmines to detonate. Army personnel, forest department officials, and local residents are actively working to contain and extinguish the blaze. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as efforts to control the fire continue.
