Gold worth ₹8 lakhs recovered by Police Station Bus Stand, Jammu

Jammu, 06.10.2024: Acting swiftly on a gold snatching incident that occurred on 29th September 2024 at the Jammu Bus Stand, police launched an immediate investigation. The case involved the theft of 11 tolas of gold, valued at ₹8 lakhs, leading to the registration of FIR No. 50/2024 under sections 126(2) and 307 of the BNS Act.
A special team, under SP City North Jammu and led by the SHO of Police Station Bus Stand, was constituted, with SDPO City North supervising the efforts. Their dedicated investigation resulted in the arrest of four individuals involved in the crime: Himanshu Sharma, s/o Ajay Sharma, r/o Patoli Brahmana; Sumeet Sharma, s/o Soni Ram, r/o Patoli; Vikas Bhalla, s/o Baldev Raj, r/o Muthi; and Shreekant Yadav, s/o Sideshwar Yadav, r/o Maharashtra.
The stolen 11 tolas of gold were successfully recovered from the culprits’ possession, marking a significant success in the investigation. The recovery has reassured the public of the police’s efficiency in dealing with such high-profile cases.
