High Court Redefines Munsiff Court Jurisdiction in Kathua District

Jammu, Mar 1: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has announced a significant reconfiguration of the territorial jurisdiction for Munsiff Courts in Kathua District.
According to the revised directives, the Court of Munsiff Billawar will now be responsible for the revenue limits of Tehsil Billawar. Additionally, the Court of Munsiff/Additional Special Mobile Magistrate Billawar will oversee the jurisdictions of Tehsils Ramkot and Lohai Malhar.
Furthermore, the jurisdiction of the Court of Munsiff Mahanpur has been modified to encompass Tehsil Mahanpur, while the Court of Munsiff Basohli will maintain jurisdiction over Tehsil Basohli.
This restructuring aims to streamline judicial processes and enhance the accessibility of legal services in the region.
