Huge Cache of Arms and Ammunition Recovered in North Kashmir’s Baramulla
Baramulla, J&K: Security forces recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from the forests of Anganpathri in the Uri sector of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
A defence spokesperson stated that based on specific intelligence, a joint search operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Rampur sector of Baramulla.
During the operation, security personnel busted a hideout and recovered a significant stockpile of weapons, including three AK rifles, 11 AK magazines, nine UBGL grenades, two hand grenades, and other war-like stores.
Authorities believe the recovery is a major success in countering potential militant activities in the region. Further investigation is underway.
