Illegal Bovine Smuggling Foiled at Ghagwal: Truck Seized

Ghagwal, Samba, October 25:
In a significant operation, a truck bearing registration number UK-17C/6084 was intercepted by alert authorities at Ghagwal and found to be illegally transporting eight bovines (cows and oxen) without valid permission. The bovines were hidden beneath a layer of empty small gas cylinders in an attempt to evade detection.

The local Police Station Ghagwal has taken cognizance of the incident, and a case has been registered. The truck has been seized, and further investigations are underway to identify the network involved in this illegal activity.

This crackdown reflects the authorities’ vigilance in preventing the unlawful transportation of animals, which remains a serious issue in the region.
