Inauguration of Smart Class under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme at Girls High School Banglard, Samba
Samba, 9th November 2024: In a significant step towards empowering girls in the border areas of Samba district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Samba, Sh. Rajesh Sharma, today inaugurated a state-of-the-art Smart Class at Girls High School, Banglard, under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme. The initiative, launched by the Social Welfare Department Samba, is aimed at enhancing the educational infrastructure and providing modern learning tools for the girls in this region.
During the inauguration, DC Samba praised the efforts of the Social Welfare Department for establishing the smart class, highlighting its importance in fostering an environment conducive to quality education for girls. The DC further emphasized the need to boost female enrollment in schools and improve the female sex ratio in the district, aligning with the goals of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
The event was attended Chief Education Officer (CEO) Samba, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Samba, and key officials from both the Social Welfare and Education Departments. The teams from these departments were acknowledged for their collaborative efforts in making this initiative a reality.
This smart class facility will provide girls in the border areas with access to advanced educational resources, including digital learning tools, interactive lessons, and other technology-based educational materials. The establishment of this smart class marks a milestone in the district’s continued efforts to promote the education of girls and create equal opportunities for their growth and development.
