New Delhi, May 11, 2025 – The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the successful execution of its assigned tasks in Operation Sindoor, a military operation launched in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement released today, the IAF emphasized that the operations were conducted with precision, professionalism, and discretion, aligning with India’s national objectives.

Operation Sindoor, initiated on May 7, 2025, targeted nine terrorist facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), focusing on dismantling infrastructure linked to groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The operation was a retaliatory measure following the Pahalgam attack, which claimed 25 Indian lives and one Nepali national.

“The IAF has successfully executed its assigned tasks in Operation Sindoor,” the statement read. “Operations were conducted in a deliberate and discreet manner, aligned with national objectives. As the operations are still ongoing, a detailed briefing will be provided in due course.”

The IAF also urged the public and media to refrain from speculation and the dissemination of unverified information, amid heightened tensions and conflicting reports from both Indian and Pakistani sources. Indian officials have confirmed the precision strikes caused minimal collateral damage.

The operation has drawn international attention, with global powers calling for de-escalation. On May 10, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire, but after three hours there were reports of Ceasefire Violations by the Pakistan in different sectors. Now the statement on social media platforms X, indicates that Operation Sindoor remains active. The Indian armed forces have also thwarted multiple Pakistani drone and missile attacks on northern and western India, including interceptions in Jammu, Punjab, and Rajasthan.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised the armed forces, stating, “The might of the Indian armed forces was felt at Pakistan’s military headquarters in Rawalpindi.” Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been closely monitoring the situation, holding high-level meetings with security officials.

Further details are expected once the operations conclude, with the nation awaiting a comprehensive briefing on the outcomes of Operation Sindoor.
