International Yoga Day Celebrated at Government Higher Secondary School Rajpura, District Samba

SAMBA: A vibrant and spirited celebration marked International Yoga Day at Government Higher Secondary School, Rajpura, District Samba. The event was organized under the leadership of DDC Rajpura, Ms. Asha Rani, who underscored yoga’s vital role in promoting overall well-being.

In her address, Ms. Asha Rani highlighted the efforts of the Nations Development Association (NDA), affiliated with My Bharat Jammu under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in advancing physical fitness, mental peace, and a balanced lifestyle among youth and communities.

She stated, “The journey of yoga over the past 11 years reflects India’s global message of unity, wellness, and inner strength. It was on September 27, 2014, that Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji proposed to the United Nations the designation of June 21st as International Yoga Day.”

On behalf of the Nations Development Association, Founder and Chief Functionary Mr. Sushil Singh Charak extended heartfelt thanks to DDC Rajpura Ms. Asha Rani for her visionary leadership and support in making the celebration a success.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, school staff, and local volunteers, spreading awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. Demonstrations and guided sessions further highlighted yoga’s role in achieving holistic health.

Among those present were SHO Ghagwal, Chowki Officer Rajpura, President Rajpura Ms. Asha Rani, school faculty members, and several prominent social activists of District Samba, all of whom contributed to the event’s success.
