International Yoga Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at Historic Samba Fort

The picturesque Samba Fort came alive this morning as hundreds of yoga enthusiasts gathered to mark the International Yoga Day with zeal and enthusiasm. The event witnessed the participation of people from all walks of life, showcasing the growing awareness and commitment towards a healthier lifestyle through yoga.
MLA Samba, Shri Surjeet Singh Slathia, was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. “Yoga is not just a form of exercise but a holistic approach to health,” he remarked.

Slathia also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking the initiative to declare June 21 as International Yoga Day, a move that has received global recognition and widespread acceptance. He said that this global celebration is a proud moment for every Indian, as it brings attention to the rich heritage of India’s ancient wellness practices.
Participants performed various asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques, guided by trained instructors in the serene surroundings of the fort, which added a cultural and historical charm to the event.
