ITBP Seizes 108 Gold Biscuits Weighing 108 kg in Eastern Ladakh
Ladakh, July 10, 2024 – In a significant operation, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (#ITBP) seized 108 gold biscuits, each weighing 1 kg, near Sirigaple in Eastern Ladakh. The seizure was made by a team led by Deputy Commandant Deepak Bhatt from the 21 Battalion during a Long Range Patrol.
The ITBP reported that two suspects have been apprehended in connection with the seizure. Investigations are ongoing in collaboration with other agencies to determine the source and intended destination of the gold.
The seized gold is valued at several crores and represents a significant bust in the region.This operation highlights the vigilance and effectiveness of the ITBP in securing the borders and preventing smuggling activities.
