Jammu and Kashmir United School Teachers Association Celebrates 194th Birth Anniversary of Savitribai Phule
The Jammu and Kashmir United School Teachers Association (USTA) celebrated the 194th birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, India’s first female teacher and a pioneer of women’s education, under the leadership of the Association’s President, Sh. Pardeep Singh Jammwal. The event, marked with great enthusiasm and reverence, aimed to honor the remarkable contributions of Savitribai Phule to education and social reform. The celebration saw the presence of General Secretary Roop Chand, Secretary Sunil Thappa, and Women Teacher National Forum President Smt. Kanta Jammwal, who emphasized the importance of Savitribai Phule’s legacy in empowering women through education.
Ex-President of USTA, Sh. Rajeev Kumar Sharma, also graced the occasion. During his address, he highlighted the inspiring life of Savitribai Phule and her relentless efforts in breaking societal barriers to pave the way for women’s education in India.
The event witnessed participation from various notable individuals, including District Samba President Sh. Thoru Ram, Retired Master from KV School Smt. Meena Kumari, and Chief Organizer Sh.
