Jammu: JKPCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra Accuses BJP of Weakening India’s Unity

Tariq Hameed Karra, the president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing it of attempting to undermine India’s unity and democratic values. Speaking at an event in Jammu, Karra remarked, “The politics of BJP is an attempt to weaken the entire India. They are not only weakening the Congress but the entire India.”

Karra emphasized that the Congress, as the backbone of Indian democracy, has consistently resisted such attempts. “The repeated attempts of these forces to weaken the Congress have failed and will continue to fail. No one can weaken the Congress, no one can destroy the ideas of the Congress,” he declared.

His remarks come amid heightened political activity in Jammu and Kashmir as the region gears up for upcoming elections. The JKPCC chief reaffirmed the party’s commitment to safeguarding India’s secular and democratic ideals, urging people to stand united against divisive politics.

The statement has sparked reactions across political circles, with BJP leaders expected to respond to Karra’s allegations in the coming days.
