Jammu Police Arrests 10th Accused in Sumit Jandial @Gataru Murder Case from Delhi’s IGI Airport

In a significant breakthrough, Jammu Police successfully arrested Yudhvir Singh, son of Veerdev Singh, a resident of Mandi Sangwali, Samba, from Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Delhi. The accused was taken into custody as soon as he landed from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marking a crucial development in the high-profile Sumit Jandial alias Gataru murder case.
The arrest operation was executed by a special Jammu Police team led by Inspector Deepak Pathania, SHO Nowabad (I/C SIT), assisted by Inspector Varuneshwar Singh and PSI Anoop Kumar. The team worked under the close supervision of DySP PC and SP Operations Jammu, with overall monitoring by SSP Jammu.
Financial Role in the Murder Conspiracy
Investigations have revealed that Yudhvir Singh played a critical financial role in the entire conspiracy. He was involved in transferring large sums of money to accounts linked to the accused before the murder. These transactions were used to purchase an Alto car just a week before the crime, which was later used as a getaway vehicle in the murder of Sumit Jandial on January 21, 2025.

The case is registered under FIR No. 14/25 at Police Station Nowabad, with charges framed under the following sections:
103(1), 3(5), 49, and 111(2)(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)
