Jammu Police cracks down on drug trade in Miran Sahib, seizes 108 grams heroin(Chita) & cash

In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, Police Station Miran Sahib apprehended a notorious drug peddler and recovered 108 grams of heroin, ₹19,000 cash, and a weighing machine from his possession. This successful operation underscores Jammu Police’s unwavering commitment to curbing the drug menace.
A police team led by PSI Ajesh Jamwal, along with ICBPP Kullian ASI Sunil Kumar Parihar under the command of SHO P/S Miran Sahib, Inspector Sh. Jai Paul Sharma conducted a naka checking operation. During the drive, they intercepted a suspicious vehicle (JK02CN-7902) coming from Chak Alwal. The driver, identified as Sahil Choudhary, son of Karnail Singh, resident of Chak Alwal, Tehsil R S Pura, Jammu was searched, leading to the seizure of the contraband.
Following the recovery, an FIR (No. 43/2025) under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib.
The accused has been taken into custody and further investigations are underway to dismantle the drug supply network.
The seizure of such a significant quantity of heroin is a testament to Jammu Police’s relentless efforts in cracking down on drug trafficking and preventing illegal substances from reaching vulnerable sections of society.
