J&K Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary Blames Mehbooba Mufti for Article 370 Revocation
Jammu, March 4: In a sharp political attack, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Tuesday held former Chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti directly responsible for the revocation of the region’s special status under Article 370.
“Jammu and Kashmir lost its special status because of her,” Choudhary alleged, blaming Mehbooba’s “political blunders” for creating the circumstances that led to the abrogation. He further accused her of contributing to the region’s ongoing political and administrative instability.
Responding to Mehbooba Mufti’s recent criticisms of the government, Choudhary stated, “We are answerable to the people who voted us to power. We don’t need lessons from Mehbooba Mufti.”
The remarks come amid heightened political tensions, with Mehbooba Mufti also taking aim at the National Conference, labeling it an “extension of the BJP.”
