J&K Govt Forms Committee to Frame Syllabi for 27 Lecturer Disciplines

Srinagar, February 27, 2025 – The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s School Education Department has constituted a committee to frame syllabi for 27 different disciplines. This move follows the referral of 594 Lecturer posts to the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission.

As per Government Order No. 461-JK(Edu) of 2025, the committee includes key officials such as the Directors of School Education (Kashmir and Jammu), the Special Secretary to the Government (School Education Department), and Registrars from the Universities of Kashmir and Jammu. The Director of School Education, Kashmir, will serve as the committee’s chairman.

The committee is tasked with framing the required syllabi within one month and may involve subject experts from the universities of Jammu and Kashmir.

The order, issued by Shantmanu IAS, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), School Education Department, has been circulated to various administrative and educational bodies for implementation.
