J&K LG Orders Probe Into Brutal Killing of Three Family Members in Kathua

Kathua, March 10: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered a thorough and transparent investigation into the brutal killing of three family members in Kathua district.

The victims—Varun Singh (15), his paternal uncle Yogesh Singh (32), and maternal uncle Darshan Singh (40)—were found dead in Ishu nullah, Malhar area, on Saturday. The trio had been missing since March 5.

Expressing deep sorrow, LG Manoj Sinha took to X (formerly Twitter) to condemn the killings. “I am shocked and saddened beyond words at this brutal act. A thorough investigation has been ordered, and justice will be ensured at the earliest,” he assured.

Sinha also extended his condolences to the bereaved families, vowing that the perpetrators will be brought to book and accountability will be fixed.

Authorities have launched an intensive probe into the incident, and security forces have been deployed in the region to ensure law and order. Further updates are awaited as investigations progress.
