J&K POLICE ARRESTS DRUG PEDDLER, RECOVERS 3.59 GRAMS HEROIN LIKE SUBSTANCE

Samba, April 28: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, J&K Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and recovered 3.59 grams approximately heroin like substance from his possession.

A Police party of Police Post Supwal headed by Incharge PP Supwal during special naka established for vehicle checking at Barrian Supwal, signaled to stop a motorcycle bearing registration number JK21E-9472 coming from Vijaypur side for its checking. On seeing police party, the motorcyclist tired to escape from the spot but alert cops acted swiftly and apprehended him within few meters away from naka point. During frisking, 3.59 grams approximately heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of said motorcyclist.

The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Alam Din S/o Nazir Ahmed R/o Manohar Gopala tehsil and district Samba.

A case FIR No 119/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
