J&K PSI Param Vir Singh Honored with All-Round Best 1st Prize by LG Manoj Sinha at SKPA Udhampur

Udhampur, June 17, 2025: In a moment of pride for Jammu and Kashmir Police, Probationary Sub-Inspector (PSI) Param Vir Singh, son of Dharm Vir Singh and resident of Mandi Pashwalian, Samba, was awarded the prestigious All-Round Best 1st Prize by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. The felicitation took place during the Passing-out Parade of the 26th Batch of Probationary Sub-Inspectors and 17th Batch of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySsP) at the Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) in Udhampur on June 16, 2025.

Param Vir Singh stood out among 1112 Probationary Sub-Inspectors and 49 Deputy Superintendents of Police who completed their rigorous training at SKPA. His exceptional performance across various training modules, which included proficiency in new criminal laws, artificial intelligence, cybercrime, counter-terrorism, and field tactics, earned him this distinguished recognition. The Lieutenant Governor personally felicitated Param Vir Singh, commending his dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence.

Addressing the parade, LG Manoj Sinha congratulated all the passing-out officers and urged them to uphold the values and ethos of the J&K Police. “The training at SKPA has equipped these young warriors with the skills to combat terrorism, ensure law and order, and serve the nation with integrity. Param Vir Singh’s achievement is a testament to the high standards of our police academy,” he said.

The ceremony, attended by senior officials including DGP Nalin Prabhat, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, and Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai, marked a significant milestone for the J&K Police. Family members of the passing-out officers, along with prominent citizens, were also present to celebrate the occasion.

Param Vir Singh’s achievement has brought immense pride to his family and the Samba district. His recognition as the All-Round Best PSI underscores the J&K Police’s commitment to nurturing skilled and dedicated officers to serve the nation.
