Kulgam Encounter: Two unidentified terrorists neutralized by the Indian Army

In a significant operation, two unidentified terrorists were killed in an encounter in the Adigam village of Devsar, Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, on September 28, 2024. The encounter began when security forces, including personnel from the Indian Army, Jammu & Kashmir Police, and the CRPF, launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) after receiving intelligence inputs about terrorist activity in the area.During the operation, the terrorists opened heavy fire, injuring five security personnel, including a senior police officer, Additional Superintendent of Police Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, and four army soldiers. All the injured personnel were evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment. The operation remains ongoing as security forces are working to secure the area and confirm the identities of the militants.
