LG Manoj Sinha Extends Greetings on Jyeshtha Ashtami: Prays for Peace and Harmony

Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people, particularly the Kashmiri Pandit community, on the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami, being observed on June 3.
In his message, the Lieutenant Governor said, “On the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami, I extend my heartiest greetings to everyone, especially our Kashmiri Pandit brothers and sisters. May the divine blessings of Mata Kheer Bhawani continue to illuminate our paths, ushering in peace, happiness, and prosperity for all.”
Shri Sinha emphasized the significance of the sacred festival in promoting unity and communal harmony. “May the spirit of this sacred occasion further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, fostering harmony and mutual respect across the communities. Let us on this auspicious day dedicate ourselves to selfless service to the nation and the welfare of people,” he added.
Jyeshtha Ashtami, marked by special prayers at the revered Kheer Bhawani temple in Tulmulla and other shrines, holds immense religious and cultural significance for Kashmiri Pandits. The festival sees thousands of devotees paying homage to Mata Ragnya Devi, seeking her blessings for wellbeing and spiritual upliftment.
Authorities have made elaborate arrangements to facilitate smooth conduct of the festivities, ensuring the comfort and security of pilgrims visiting the shrine.
