Major Crackdown on Encroachments Along Tarnah Nallah: 50 Kanals of Land Freed, 22 Structures Demolished
Kathua, June 10, 2025: The Kathua district administration launched a large-scale anti-encroachment drive today in Chhapaki Kalan, Hiranagar sub-division, targeting illegal occupations along the Tarnah Nallah. A multi-agency team, dedicated to protecting government land, successfully reclaimed over 50 kanals of encroached land and demolished 22 unauthorized structures on the spot.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of senior officials, including SDM Hiranagar Phulail Singh, Tehsildar Anoop Kumar, SDPO Chadwal Dheeraj Singh Katoch, DYSP (Operations) Vishal Kumar, SHO Rajbag Ajay Singh Chib, and SHO Hiranagar Ashish Sharma, along with other civil and police administration officials. This decisive action sends a strong message of zero tolerance toward encroachments.
