Based on intelligence inputs, police and Army units launched a joint operation early Saturday, leading to an intense gunfight between the terrorists and security personnel.

Terrorists Spotted by Local Woman Before the Gunfight

The presence of terrorists was first detected by Anita Devi, a local woman collecting wood in a nursery along with her husband Ganesh and brother-in-law. She reported that the militants, over five in number, caught hold of her husband. However, he managed to escape and alert the authorities.

Security officials suspect that these terrorists

• On February 16, Shamsher (37) and Roshan (45) were found dead in Kohag village, Billawar.

• 16 फरवरी को कोहाग गांव में दो शव मिले: शमशेर (37) और रोशन (45) की संदिग्ध परिस्थितियों में मौत हो गई।
