Maldives Govt suspends 3 ministers over derogatory remarks on PM Modi and India
The Maldives government has suspended ministers Mariyam Shiuna, Malsha and Mahzoom Majid over derogatory remarks made on PM Narendra Modi and India. Maldives earlier issued a statement that reads, “Their opinions are personal and don’t represent the views of the Government of Maldives.” The Indian High Commissioner had reportedly raised the concerns with Maldives government in Male regarding this.
